Multi-depot home health care routing and scheduling problem with multimodal transportation: Mathematical model and solution methods

Providing appropriate home health care is one of the increasing concerns in organizations. Home Health Care provides various services for disabled or elderly individuals at their homes. Also, deal with current critical situation coronavirus disease (COVID-19) due to limited capacity hospitals and feeling insecurity crowded places, more recommended. This paper addresses a Routing Scheduling Problem (HHCRSP) two modes transportations including public private modes. multi-depot version problem studied enhance service delivery scattered points. In this study, mathematical model presented based on Mixed Integer Linear P?rogramming (MILP) whose objective function minimization sum travel distance overtime costs. Furthermore, three meta-heuristic algorithms Invasive Weed Optimization (IWO), Grasshopper Algorithm (GOA) Simulated Annealing (SA) are solving large-sized problems. Since performance depends setting parameters, Taguchi method used statistically set parameters developed algorithms. The computational results have shown that proposed IWO has worked better than other statistically.
